I remember…..

…when I was a kid, my Dad had a Yashica SLR camera. I was fascinated by his attempts to master it and capture a good image! I remember waiting impatiently for what seemed like an eternity, as he set up the tripod, and wrestled with the camera’s settings and self-timer, whilst mum, my sister and I all lined up for a family portrait. Little did he realise it, but I was somehow inspired by the process of “freeze-framing” a moment and the joy of reliving it through the photographs afterwards.

Fast forward a few years to 1988, when I started my very first full-time job (in I.T.), I excitedly spent my first wage packet on a Pentax SLR camera, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Thanks Dad!
